Inspiration: 1987 Diane Chambers’ (Shelley Long) final episode on “Cheers”

 

I pack my bags 

and walk out the door.

We both need a break from always being mad

from fighting this war.

 

I tried to stay and make it work

but we aren’t who we used to be.

We need to find a way for ourselves on this earth

separately.

 

So I’ll say goodbye and hope we both

can find what we’re looking for.

I hope you find someone who completes you like a harmonious note,

someone who makes you happy and whom you will adore.
